Compassionate Care Benefits will be paid to workers who have to be away from work temporarily to take care of a member of their family who may be dead within 26 weeks (6 months).

All workers entitled to EI benefits will be eligible to apply for these new benefits for 6 weeks. According to the Ontario Employment Standards Amendment Act (Family Medical Leave), 2004, You will be provided up to eight weeks of job-protected leave within 26 weeks.

Before you receive compassionate care benefits, you will have to provide a medical certificate, and wait 2 weeks.

The right to take time off work under the Family Medical leave provisions of the ESA is not the same as the right to the payment of compassionate care benefits. You must apply separately for these benefits.

My teacher Joseph's March Break

Today, I login Joseph's blog,seeing some pictrues token during his march break,mocking his tours through pictures and informations related in the website.It is also interesting.
One of Joseph's destination is the Creation Museum,a very special museum,located in US.bringing the pages of the Bible.There are some sceneries of Garden Eden,Noah's Flood,Methuselah sculture,presented by computer-stimulation technology.There were 250,000 paying visitors in its first year of 2007.It is surprising!

My first skiing trip in Canada

In Feb.5,some of my classmates in CAF-LINC school went skiing guided by our teacher Joseph . We all are chicken first, and then some tried the higher hill.After only one fall, I could ski from the higher hill successfully. I wish someday I could play like Joseph, a happy bird flying across the snow mountains.
